Ancient Settlement
E36***32We loved this town. It’s well preserved and isn’t a tourist trap like Lijiang. It felt very authentic and locals were very friendly. Our accommodations were, both away from the old town, which really placed us in the middle of nature! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would totally revisit.

E35***18Great day trip from Shaxi. we walked to the first temple, nice views and chance to see a lot of monkeys. might be a good idea to take a stick some if them might get close to try and steal food. the view from the top of Baoxiang temple is amazing :)

AURURA木木It feels a lot to look at, it's on Shaxi Old Street, which is not bad. But to charge tickets, here is more of Xiaocheng Buddhism, not bad, and the artistic style is also good. But it closes after five o'clock in the evening.

大行The Shizhong Temple Grottoes are the most characteristic of the three major grotto areas (Shizhong Temple, Lion Pass, and Shadengqing) in the Shizhongshan Grottoes (also known as Shibaoshan Grottoes) in Jianchuan, Dali, Yunnan. The Shizhongshan Grottoes were created in the late Tang Dynasty and were excavated successively for more than 300 years from the Five Dynasties to the Southern Song Dynasty. It is more than 1,000 years ago. There are eight caves in the Shizhong Temple Grottoes. The statues in the grottoes are exquisitely crafted, colorful, and lifelike. The terrain is undulating, the buildings are majestic, and the mountains are peculiar. Apart from cultural relics and Buddhist culture, they are of great ornamental value.

大行A sense of age, history, vigor, tranquility, novelty, and strong ethnic customs... Located in Si Deng Street, Shaxi Town, Jianchuan, Dali, the only surviving bazaar on the Ancient Tea Horse Road, this feeling is everywhere. Perhaps because of this, even though the transportation is not very convenient, it still attracts a large number of tourists, including backpackers and photography enthusiasts to check in or even stay here. I am sorry for those who just passed by.
