lilysuunOne of the indispensable outdoor activities in Finland in winter is dog sledding. This time I came to a camp with a lot of huskies and of course other dogs. It turns out that there is also a dog sledding competition here in Finland. This time the owner also took us to see the award-winning dogs. It was really enthusiastic. There are a total of 12 dogs pulling the cart and command the speed of the cart according to the owner's command. Although the dogs are full of energy, they actually get tired after pulling 2-3 times, so they will change their dogs. The cost of playing this project is generally around 50 euros. In fact, the store’s business hours are only a few months and the cost of operating the entire camp is relatively large. The cost is still understandable.

How would you feel if you would be taken to a remote place far from others and you would be able to breathe the completely pure air and swim in (practically) drinkable and completely clear water? Would you love to go to a sandy beach in that kind of place?
In Finnish Lapland, near the Pallas Fells there’s a place called “the Red Sand”. It has got its name from the reddish color of the beach sand. Actually it’s not officially a beach, it’s a wilderness hut which is situated in a very special place.
The Red Sands used to be a hidden treasure very recently but due to social media it has become more and more popular. That also causes some erosion at the very special place. So I make a kind request: please preserve the nature and take your own trash with you.
The place is located by the lake Pallasjarvi in Kittila, Finland. Actually you can only go there by car and navigate there by putting “punainenhiekka” to your navigator. I promise you: it’s a remote place in the middle of nowhere. But going there on a midsummer night may surprise you positively - especially if the night is clear.
There is also a wilderness hut (in pictures) where you can cook and the wood is provided for free.
After a few days, I finally got a summer feeling in the Arctic Circle. The Levi Lake and the locals are just as open to the short and beautiful summer in Northern Finland. It is also a variety of water sports. Boating, swimming and drinking beer are quiet and quiet. Was wasted flowing in the blue sky of blue azure lake
