WE STAYED FOR 5 DAYS AT THIS BEAUTIFUL RESORT FACING A CRESCENT SHAPED BEACH WITH GOLDEN SAND AND SHADED BY TALL PALM TREES RUSTLING IN THE BREEZE WITH VIEWS OF THE TURQUOISE SEA. OUR MUCH NEEDED GETAWAY WAS WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR AND SLEEP CAME EASY IN ITS CLEAN FURNISHED ROOM WITH LOCAL TIMBER AND RICH FABRICS AND TOP WITH A VIEW OF SOUTH CHINA SEA. Each pool has towels and deck chairs for sun lovers, and refreshments are served at the pool deck.

I love how Tanjung Jara resort’s design is very naturalistic, incorporating a lot of earthy colours and woody tones. It really makes you feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle of the city and can properly wind down. Service here is really good too as they are polite and approachable. Only issue is that some of the furniture is stained and peeling, but it’s minor enough to overlook. A perfect short escape at this hidden gem in Dungun, Terengganu. Tanjong Jara Resort is definitely a perfect place to unwind and relax as well as the right place to experience the malay culture activities. The resort provided numerous activities on daily basis (refer the schedule activities) such as, morning exercise, Yoga, Dungun town tour, traditional handcraft classes, batik painting, Jara Hill walk, movie under the star, bicycle tour, turtle education and a glimpse of kampung lifestyle activities where dikir barat being performed, malay traditional games such ‘gasing’ or top, kompang performance and many others. Worth the stay!

one of the many gorgeous beach in Terengganu. about 40 minutes from Kuala Terengganu. this beach is really beautiful and calm.

Recommended to those who want privacy and nature lover.Because this resort is isolated from others.If you want to find food somewhere else,it is 10minutes away to Bandar Dungun by car.There are plenty of shop.Most of the shop closed at 10pm.So you need to come early.I didn’t recommend for you guys to travel to Terengganu on Friday.Because it is compulsory for them to closed the shop during Friday Prayers(12:30pm-2:00pm approx)
