【Daegu, South Korea 🇰🇷】Gyesan Cathedral
Gyesan Cathedral is a famous landmark in Daegu, South Korea. Originally built in 1891, it was the third European-style building in Korea after Seoul and Pyongyang, and the first Gothic-style cathedral in Yeongnam. Damaged by fire, it was rebuilt in 1902 by French priest Father Robert, resulting in its current form.
The cathedral boasts a soaring bell tower and is famous for being a filming location for the drama series "The King: Eternal Monarch." The colorful stained glass windows inside, imported directly from France, shimmer in the sunlight, and the images of priests depicted within them add to the solemn atmosphere.
