"Ancient Towns"
avatarchenweiwen"Traveling in the United States, country towns are almost the same, with the small buildings in North American style. In California, the houses are mostly Spanish, almost everywhere. So when I came to a small town called Sofang in Santa Barbara County, southern California, I couldn't help but see a light. It was a beautiful town full of Danish style. The windy windmills are particularly eye-catching, with strong Nordic-style buildings, making people feel like they are in Andersen's fairytale dream. "Sofang" is Danish, meaning "sunshine place". It was a pleasant, fertile, three-hour drive from Los Angeles. Initially in 1911, five Danish immigrants bought the land and built a village school there. Here, the first immigrants and their children were able to take up Danish traditional education while working in farming or other industries. Around the school, the small town with distinctive Danish characteristics was slowly formed and now has 47,000 inhabitants. The town was full of tourists, but not noisy. It seemed as if everyone could not bear to spoil the rare tranquility."

"Churches and Cathedrals"
avatar柔实先生"Kutner Hola BONE CHURCH Kutna Hora, the world’s most famous church of human bones, contains no less than 40,000 human bones, from the black death patients of the 14th century and the beginning of the 15th century" People who died in the Hussite war. When the small town of Kutna was repairing the church, there were bones that were dug up everywhere, and there was nowhere to put the bones in the mountains. Until 1870, the artist rint thought of simply using it. They came to decorate the church, thoroughly disinfected the bones and arranged them into various patterns such as chandeliers, crosses, door lintels, family crests and so on. So there was this human bone church. The birth! The courtyard outside the church is a cemetery. It is said that an abbot brought back a handful of soil from a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and scattered it in the courtyard of the church. Since then, the famous family members have been behind. It's proud to be buried here. The small courtyard is an inch of gold, and many cemeteries are buried here in one family. Walking into the scene does not give people a feeling of gloom and horror. On the contrary, it is very shocking and awe of death."

In July 2020, Santa Barbara authorities have made wearing masks mandatory for both residents and visitors. The city is gradually reopening the local economy to tourism and resuming normal life. Take care as you’re traveling to make sure you observe local ordinances in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
