Built by an eccentric woman for more than 30 years, the Winchester Mystery House is an architectural oddity that defies explanation. Others say that she was trying to confuse the ghosts of people killed by Winchester rifles; her husband was their inventor, and that’s how she inherited so much money. Stanford Memorial Church is known informally as MemChu and is one of the most lovely buildings on this beautiful campus. It is a non-denominational church and it has been renovated after surviving two major earthquakes. It is a highlight of a campus tour. #happynewyear #happynewyear
