Close to Shabghai Disneyland in Pudong there are many small bed & breakfast where you can enjoy the weekend away from the city or gather with friends to celebrate birthday parties❣. The weather has not disappointed recently and the pool was very welcomed by many of us. The area is remote and great for walks or early morning runs. This is a very rural area and it's best you organize your own food and drinks 🍸 😉
The first time I came to Shanghai Disneyland just in time for Christmas, the atmosphere of Christmas is particularly strong. Because it is a working day to enter the park, the overall passenger flow is not particularly large. I stayed in the morning until dark. Unfortunately, I did not wait until the evening. Fireworks show. But when I was about to leave the park, I was surprised to find that in order to create a Christmas atmosphere, Disneyland started artificial snowfall, as if I was in a fairy tale world.❄️❄️☃️
Our visit to Disney Shanghai was absolutely not planned but once there we said to ourselves that we might never come back and that it was an opportunity to compare with our dear Disneyland Paris.
What differentiates the two parks? The atmosphere ! This is the thing that struck us the most. In Shanghai we have absolutely not found the magic of the French park, far from it.
The attractions ! The one in Shanghai is the last of the Disney parks to be built. The attractions are therefore very modern, futuristic and less "classic" than those in Paris, there are several attractions in particular in 3D. Let's say that in Shanghai the attractions are more based on the experience than on the thrills. In spite of everything, some of them really messed up our hair, special mention for Tron.
The stars of the park! And yes, the references are not the same as with us. Here B-max, Stitch, Tron, Avengers and Zootopia are the Disney classics. Only points in common with us: Alice in Wonderland and Pirates of the Caribbean. Note that we have also seen Pikachu in the shops of the park.
Technology ! Here everything happens on mobile, fast passes, photos in attractions, payments etc. The Chinese ! Admittedly, there weren't many visitors, but everyone who was there was playing the game thoroughly. The majority were in disguise or wore Disney accessories.
Selfie Spot with Mickey,Soaring,TRON Realm, Pixar Toy Story Land,Frozen A Sing-Along Celebration etc...
Everything was awesome!!!
Among them, "Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure" was great quality as I expected.

Have came to Shanghai Disney twice. The biggest concern you may have is there will always be too much visitors so it will take a long time for you to wait in the line.🤪
So firstly, you have to get up very early to be the first batch to enter Disneyland. And remember to download a Disney app so you could know the queuing time for every ride.
Remember to take something to eat with you as the price will be too high inside, but Disney has strict rule on what can be taken in.
It’s not that big, which means it’s possible for you to go to the ride you like more than once. But it’s still tiring to play all day. At around 7-8 pm, there aren’t much people playing cause most of them are tired enough and they will take a good seat and wait for the firework. So I got to take every ride I was interested in at that time. But of course, we couldn’t get a perfect place to watch the firework.🎆
Don’t miss the parade at day and the firework at night. Though it will take you sometime to get home after firework, it still worth it.

SHANGHAI DISNEYLAND is definitely a place to be . It awakens that inner child . Went there for a pre-birthday celebration and I couldn’t ask for more . It was such a great experience. Wish I could spend at least 3days there . The smiles on the cast members’ faces make you feel at home and make that Disney dream come true .However I highly recommend everyone who wants to go there to do a research before they go .Get an idea of what to expect , it saves your time. Try to go there early in the morning too .Don’t forget to try their turkey drumstick it’s so tasty !
Despite the queues they still manage to maintain order I applaud their efforts!
Disney Parks at night holds an elegant look 🌟. The lights are so perfect and illuminating 💫. They have given importance in each minute details to maintain the ambiance and feel 🔥. Just walking around makes the heart feels good. and happy. The final fireworks is a must visit if you're planning for a Disney visit.
Shanghai Disneyland is a theme park located in Chuansha New Town, Pudong, Shanghai, China, that is part of the Shanghai Disney Resort. We went there on National holiday so we paid almost 600 for the ticket per person. You can get there by metro, line 11 and get off to Disney Resort Station.
Shanghai Disneyland is stunningly beautiful. From the largest castle in the Disney realm to the Voyage to the Crystal Grotto that takes you under the storybook kingdom to the magnificent (and explorable) life-size pirate ship, every inch of Shanghai Disneyland is worth studying.
Are you confused of going to Disney Resort with your toddler? From my experience they have lots of activities were they allow toddlers which you can't fully cover within a day ⏳. If you're traveling with a kid less than of height 1m and you are focusing on doing activities only with the kid then one day ticket will be enough for you. But be prepared to be fully engaged from the opening to closing time ⏰. It's allowed to carry foods and snacks for kids. You can utilize kids snack time while in the que, almost all activities have waiting time of minimum half an hour. Better to go on a weekday both ticket price and crowd will be less comparatively.
Getting There - Subway station : Disney Resort (line 11) + about 5-7mins walk from there.
Food & Restaurants - Disneyland:A lot of ice cream and snack options. Some “meal” options but very expensive (over 100¥ for a burger combo).
Disneytown : More food options such as Cheesecake Factory and Blue Frog. Still quite expensive but the food is better.
Shopping - Tons of souvenirs shops.
Rides- Long lines but Tron was definitely worth it!! The dwarves mine was a lot of fun too.
I went there solo and still had a fun time!
I’m also not much of a Disney fan but I loved the atmosphere!
There’s an option for a 2 days pass - If you’re very much into Disney it might be worth it for you so you get to explore everything.
If you’re like me and just want to “go with the flow” then I’d say a day pass is enough.
Enjoy your Disneyland experience!
