The Kangpu Shou Temple is antique and has many exquisite murals, which promote the Dharma.
Shouguo Temple is located 80 kilometers north of Weixi Lisu Autonomous County on the east bank of the Lancang River in Yunnan Province, and 73 kilometers away from the county seat in Gedingluoba Village, Kangpu Township, on the east bank of the Lancang River. The temple covers an area of 2,600 square meters. The temple sits east to west, and is composed of a gate, a main hall, and a side hall to form a courtyard. The main hall is the center of the entire temple building. It is a triple-eave spire-style wooden structure, with a total construction area of 403 square meters, a width of 20.32 meters, and a depth of 20.4 meters. The appearance is a Qing Dynasty building, and the interior decoration is Tibetan style. There are dense dougong decorations under the eaves of the main hall, which have the architectural style of Han-style pavilions in the Qing Dynasty and the characteristics of Tibetan temples. The decoration techniques also incorporate the Jianchuan woodcarving skills. There are 3 floors in the main hall. The first floor is the chanting hall. The column heads, beams and column caps are all painted with exquisite Tibetan and Chinese patterns. The left and right walls are painted with meticulous and heavy color paintings. There are now ten murals and a partition painting. The painting content involves tantric themes such as Guanyin, Heavenly King, Arhat, Hell Black God, Heavenly Dragon Babu and Huawu Animals. These murals have rigorous composition, bright colors, smooth brushwork, and vivid characters. The temple also enshrines statues of Sakyamuni III Buddha, Great Treasure King, Two Treasure Kings and Padmasambhava. The second and third floors of the main hall contain valuable artifacts, scriptures and artifacts in the temple. There are 17 paintings and two characters painted on the second-floor partition, the middle of which is the pillar of the Zhujing building, which can be used to overlook the chanting hall. There are 10 murals in the hall, which are 2.77 meters high and 2.75-4.05 meters wide. They are painted with Tantric statues and King Kong Warriors. On May 25, 2006, Shouguo Temple, as an ancient building in the Qing Dynasty, was approved by the State Council to be included in the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
