Levels Cafe and Lounge

A shop with a very good scenery, the mountain is on the edge, it is cooler to eat here, it is French food, so it is a little more refined than the local food, the foie gras sauce is very good, and the salmon is also delicious.

The staff were amazing and gave just the right amount of attention to our table.  The menu had a good variety of dishes that were interesting, very well cooked and presented with a little panache.  Great choice!

We stopped in at Carrubbers because their chalkboard on the Royal Mile mentioned PANCAKES! My husband was tired of eggs every day and this really made his eyes light up. When the meal arrived, lots of CRISPY AMERICAN BACON was piled on top of the pancakes. He was in heaven! The staff is sweet and smiling. I heard Christian music playing on the PA, and it was then I discovered the cafe is run by the church upstairs. No WONDER this place feels different! Like a little piece of heaven. Don&#39;t let the functional furniture dissuade you. The soup smelled heavenly... my egg and ham bap was wonderful. And all the coffees are the same price whether you get a plain one or a fancy one. And one of the staff members went outside IN THE RAIN to point out a bus stop to us. GO THERE!
