Arthur's Seat is a must when you visit Edinburgh, even if you don’t climb it. It’s an extinct volcano which is the main peak of the group of hills in Edinburgh, Scotland, which form most of Holyrood Park. It’s just east of the city centre, about 1 mile (1.6 km) to the east of Edinburgh Castle and very close to Holyrood Palace. The hill rises above the city to a height of 251 mt and provides amazing panoramic views of the city and beyond (you can see the sea and the two lakes around the hill), and is popular for hillwalking. You should also visit the two lakes around it to say hi to the swans and the ducks.

A short climb and stunning views from the top. Paths are clear and make it easy to climb. Worth doing for sunrise.
Arthur's Seat! It's Edinburgh's local volcano / mountain and it's ten minutes from the city centre. Amazing views
