Ejin Banner is a banner under the Alxa League within the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It borders the Mongolian People's Republic to the north and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region to the west. Ejin Banner is world-famous for the Huyanglin Scenic Area, which is one of the three largest diversiform-leaved poplar forests in the world. The Huyanglin Scenic Area become world-famous after it appeared in Zhang Yimou’s film Hero. One such location is Erdao Bridge which was used for outside shots in the film Hero.
