In the Northern Wei Dynasty, the monk Mingguo had meritorious service in subduing the python, and the Taoist priests in the temple learned Buddhism from his teacher, so he was changed into a temple. Because the temple was located under the middle peak of Baiyan, it was named Zhongfeng Temple. In view of the frequent fires in the mountains, Tang Xizong Shi Huitong renamed Jiyun Temple by the method of "three clouds and two waters". It was renamed Zhongfengyuan in Song Dynasty and Zhongfeng Temple in Ming Dynasty. In the Jiashen year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (1644), there are two wooden temples and two temples. Most of the front hall is the Fuxian Pavilion of the Ming Dynasty. The relics of the Song Dynasty are only a pair of stone lions. There is a strange stone in the mountain forest behind the temple, named "Realgar Stone", which is said to be the place where Tang Xuanzong sent realgar to Sun Simiao.

Zhongfeng Temple is a temple that is relatively easy to be missed or overlooked. It is actually not too far away from Shengshui Temple. It will not take long to see it when you walk past Shengshui Temple. You can also hear the Sanskrit sounds coming out of it. You can hear someone reciting the scriptures, calm down and take a break. Even if you don't understand the scriptures, people seem to be purified a lot in that atmosphere.
