Read Leicester Square review for details as it's mentioned (if you haven't read it, I don't write this stuff for my own entertainment!). Walk through to the haunting picture of the Execution of Lady Jane Grey (painted in Paris in 1830). From their the main national collection is at your feet well about 10% of it anyway, rest is in storage as there isn't the room.

This is a great collection of some of the finest art and portraits. It's free and a must especially good on a rainy day.
All of Great Britains most important people reside here!
I must admit I have only been to the bathrooms, but it has a lot of great stuff.
One of my favorite places in London that j always hit when there. The agnus soon is free and had art of really good. Lots of variety and lots of really good pieces.
