House of Pacific Relations International Cottages

Beautiful and lively place. On the weekend I happened to visit, they happened to have a Lunar New Year celebration, which was an unforgettable experience. Live music performances, food stalls from many different countries, people had a great time and tasted the food of various cultures - great! There are many cabins, each cabin represents a country. I didn’t go to all of them. The people I walked into were all decorated with life in this particular country and had a lot of information about the culture and tourism of these lands. There were also representatives willing to answer queries. I highly recommend visiting, especially when they host events or parties!

The international food fair is held every year on Memorial Day weekend at the international cottages in balboa park . It is a great way to try several cuisines and see local groups perform cultural music and dance. Each cottage shares the rich history of each country an event not to be missed,

The house of Norway in the international houses in Balboa Park is quite a nice house. it has Norwegian speaking people volunteering there, and a lot of Norwegian paraphernalia. They serve Krumkake and other Norwegian dishes. the back door was painted by my husband's cousin and I watched her do it.
