Walking along Lake Champlain is a must. Wide roads and well-configured benches stretching endlessly. Watch the undulating sailboats or waves on the pier. If you have children, visit the Leich Centre (ECHO) or take a free yacht when weather permits. The parks and scenery here really relax you unless you choose to do more physical activities such as cycling or running.

Awesome city water park. Great to go with the family to cool off in the water, play on the playground, and relax on the grass. Bring a tent or umbrella as there is not much shade. But you can rent stuff from the city. There's even a little food shack on each end. Very large space overall. Many festivals are hosted here so it may not be open to the public at times.
This was such an amazing outdoor venue for the music festival CRSSD that I attended a few weeks ago. It's literally right next to the water where all the ships, boats, and yachts flaunt their grandeur. What makes this place real fun whether it's for an event or just to come with the family are the endless amount of water spouts you can get drenched in and cool off on a hot San Diego day. Sprawling grass meadows make this place ideal for a picnic, playing sports, or just basking under the sun.
I think one of the best places in San Diego to take pictures at night with the building lights. Friend of mines a tax collector there. The waterpark now is great. And the statues were made by Donald horde I worked for when I was kid
My little brother got married here right before his wife deployed. What a beautiful day it was located near the ocean in downtown San Diego. It was so personal and emotional- couldn't have asked for a more beautiful ceremony at such a short notice. Congrats to Marshall and Rockkel!
