What travelers say:

Homer Tunnel is the only road link between Mifo Fjord and New Zealand. Although it is only1.2 kilometers short, it is very important to exist, and it is difficult to feel the steepness of the surrounding mountains without coming here. Please don't joke about this tunnel built for more than 20 years, it was built in the 1950s, and there was no major renovation. The tunnel wall is made of irregular stones, and some places are dripping water, like driving in a coal mine lane. The tunnel passes one-way by signal light, so often wait. Some self-driving tourists like to play on the ice sheet next to the tunnel when parking, but the guide suggests that this is more dangerous. From 2012 to 2019, it was a total of four back and forth during the Spring Festival, watching the snow line continue to move up, and deeply feel the phenomenon of global warming.
