St. Michael's Church and Museum is located along the road between the Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore and the Arno River, and a 14th-century arcade encloses a grain market, where a church was later built. There are many statues on the periphery of the building, which are masterpieces of many Renaissance artists, including Ghiberti's "Saint Matthew" and Donatello's "Saint George".
