We had dinner on two evenings at this superb Italian restaurant. Although we had to wait a short while for our table, we were kept informed as to how much longer it would be and we didn&#39;t mind as the wait was so worth it. Good selection on the menu, and each meal was prepared and served to perfection - nice and hot, delicious, and vegetables al dente not overcooked. On the second night we had sweets too, the Tiramisu was the best I have ever had. Would not hesitate to go there again on our next visit.

Caffe Tirreno

We enjoyed a lovely meal at The Black Swan. We shared calamari and halloumi starters, along with a delicious soup which came with two huge pieces of crusty bread. It was 2-4-1 on pizzas and they were absolutely delicious with a range of original toppings. My son had the steak and ale pie and it was absolutely packed with steak. My daughter went for the Cajun chicken burger and really enjoyed it. We were too full to manage a dessert but the children both went for cheesecake - it was Biscoff and they loved it! We will definitely be back next time we&rsquo;re in Alnwick.

I went to this The Treehouse Restaurant at the Alnwick Garden restaurant on my friend&#39;s birthday. I really liked the atmosphere here. The food was great and the alcohol-free cocktails were great! Very romantic atmosphere, worth a visit

We decided to return to the Olive Branch for lunch today. The young staff were efficient &amp; very polite. Our lunch was beautifully presented and the service was very good. My friend had a vegetarian quiche &amp; I had a vegetarian panini both needed more flavour it was rather bland.

The food was so good first night we were prepared to wait for a table as you can not make a booking but it was well worth the wait. We enjoyed the meal that we went the next night.

A proper Italian, fairly small, bustling little restaurant. Friendly staff, great service. We ate on a Saturday evening. Waited around 1hr for a table for 5. We hadn&#39;t booked, so enjoyed a drink whilst waiting in the pub next door. Good, straight forward Italian food. They were very accommodating of our children&#39;s special requests. The pizzas are available in different sizes, the pasta dishes were delicious and my son enjoyed an enormous chicken dish. (Although the waitress had warned him in advance it would be a LARGE portion ). It was pleasantly busy and quite warm/ hot inside. Good to have the option of various flavours of single ice cream scoops for dessert. Just enough to keep the children happy. We would definitely eat here again.

As others have said no bookings are possible, though after our first visit we were able to &quot;flag up&quot; that we would come back the next night and on arrival a table was waiting for us. Excellent. The food is tasty and well-cooked, the staff friendly (though very busy). On the nights we visited it was cash-only - this may have been a temporary issue.

Visited June 2016 for afternoon tea. By far the nicest one we have had! Delicious homemade cakes, fresh sandwiches and lots of tea! What a gem we have found here! Well done to staff who were lovely also! Yummy homemade bread and fudge as well. Def worth a visit but don&#39;t tell too many people :-)
