Not bad pub meal,Portions on the slim side,husband had steak and ale pie meal with chips however mushy pies were like a spoonful.TBF he says pie was really nice. I had scampi which was really nice. overall a nice pub meal and not too expensive.

DECENT PUB MEAL BUT SMALL PORTIONS&apos;

We descended on the pub after a kids football match ( 14 + 1 dog in total). The staff sat us at a dog friendly table, took prompt drinks and food orders, making it very easy.  Kids played outside on the play area. Food took a while but there eas a lot to dish up. All arrived hot and together- full breakfasts and good. Kids meals are plenty.  Overall - nice and easy. Amber (member of staff) was a star.

The Sunday roast was very tasty, we did have to wait a while for it to arrive but it was quite busy with it being a Sunday so that wasn&apos;t a problem.  The price of alcohol is quite expensive for a Green King pub but the price of not drinking alcohol was even more expensive, I had a soda water and blackcurrant which came in a Pepsi sized glass and when the bill came I was shocked to discover it cost £2.15, I went to a country pub near where I live last week and for the same size glass it cost me 80 pence.  I would have thought encouraging people not to drink and drive would be a good thing but when you can get half a pint of beer for a similar price to soda water (which is dirt cheap to buy) and blackcurrant (which is also cheap to buy and has not alcohol tax on it) is not very encouraging.  Give us drivers a break and provide non alcoholic drinks at a reasonable price!!

Good food but expensive NOT to drink and drive

We’ve never dined in a better place, the service was excellent and will come again. The servers (Shanice and Holly) were amazing and friendly.
