While walking toward North Beach neighbor, on Stockton Street, in San Francisco, I always wonder what Pho Vung Tau café was like. I knew from the window ad it was Vietnamese eatery on Vallejo Street , and just a block from "little Italy" and the local police state I venture into this café during a misty wet early afternoon. Not too late for lunch, but too early for dinner. It was like most locals, one finds one own seats. I sat down at the last table next to the kitchen and service counter. Not much service as the place was pack while I requested tea , and checked the menu. Not too long after my order, the hot steamy special beef noodle came. There was not much ingredients, a few thin slices of beefs, or green onions, and a small amount of noodle were in the bowl. Disappointing. Price is about the same as "Little Saigon", " Pho", or other Vietnamese restaurants.
