This is a quiet charming little restaurant that has amazing Indian food. I had the crackling spinach and lamb curry. Both were superb. I don&#39;t like spinach. Never have. But this dish was yummy. It&#39;s light and airy and tastes almost baked like nori. You won&#39;t regret eating here!

I ordered the steak well, very tender and fresh, I recommend it. The restaurant environment is also very good, I like his taste very much.

Days Inn does not have a breakfast and so we googled to see what was close. Chose this and thoroughly enjoyed!! Sat at the counter and watched as the two chefs created all meals on a grill. It is a pleasant glimpse of the old style diners I remember from the 50s. This one had a picture of NYE 1930 above the grill. Awesome food and pleasant staff! Very Nice! We will be back!

We arrived during brunch but we also asked if the kitchen could make fish and chips which were not featured on the brunch menu. The waiter checked and as it turns out, the kitchen had some batter made up for fish and chips and we were not disappointed...the fish and chips tasted great! The hamburger looked good, the pancakes were fuffy yet heavy, and the steak and eggs looked really good. The service was very nice and easy going and the waiter was very pleasant. Overall, a great place and I would go back again.

Food and service is always consistently great.You are always welcome by friendly servers and sushi chefs.Happy hour is always enjoyed by returning customers. The sushi is carefully prepared and there are always interesting specials on the menu.

Washington&#39;s selected Indian restaurant, but after entering, I felt that there was nothing to eat, so I ate cakes and a little rice set meal, which tasted more spicy. The environment can only be said to be generally the same, the decoration is a bit old.

This restaurant would probably be a lot more popular had it been in a better location. As it is, it&#39;s a bit of a trek (about 10-15 minutes) from the Tenleytown/AU metro, and not in an area with much foot traffic. Other than that, it&#39;s got nice upscale decor (complete with white tablecloth and cloth napkins) and the food is very good and elegantly presented. The dining room is not large, seating is comfortable, with booth seats on one side by the windows. It&#39;s not a noisy restaurant even when full (although it usually is not at least on weekday nights) so a good place to go with family or friends when quiet conversation is desired.

DC has had its share of wild weather. One chilly and dark February day we didn&#39;t have anything to cook and didn&#39;t feel like venturing forth once we got home. We decided to order a delivery and thought Cafe of India might hit the spot. They did even better. We had the mango scallops and cracking spinach as appetizers and then the daal gosht (lamb) and lamb biryani. Everything was great and the lamb dishes were excellent. Delivery was prompt and the smell of the food coming in the door was heavenly. Well done! It is a little out of the way for us on our way home, otherwise we would stop by more often. We highly recommend it (and not just for the lamb).
