It was a glorious day and the helicopter buzzed on the winding glaciers, which was great. But on foot, how far you can walk and how much you see is very limited. On previous visits we were able to walk along the dry river bed to the glaciers, but this is not the case now. You can see it but it was disappointing to see from a distance. The surrounding bushes and trails make it all worth it. My suggestion is to take the helicopter ride to get the best viewing.
Park your car in the first parking lot instead of the larger main parking lot to save your walking distance. This hike is difficult, mainly due to the robustness of the track, you must pay close attention to the orange trail markings to drive along the track. If the weather is good, please start early so that you can get close to the glacier.
The glacier scenery is unforgettable for a lifetime, and the viewing angle of the observation deck is even better than the helicopter. In addition to feeling the intoxicating beauty of this pure earth on earth, I also lament the majestic power of this nature.
The viewing platform is different from the helicopter.
The viewing platform is on the top of the mountain, and the mountain road is not easy to walk. It may be closed just after the rain due to possible rolling rocks. At the viewing platform, you can see the glacier in the distance. For those who don't like to walk or climb mountains, this attraction is not recommended. Conversely, mountain climbers and nature lovers will enjoy this journey.
