This is a brilliant Greek restaurant with a variety of different tastes and impressions. We enjoyed the calm atmosphere, the supperb food and the smile of the owner, Mr. Giorgos who tried everything he could to surprise his custmers. The wine was tasting very good and the prices are very reasonable for this area of Copenhagen. Yes, a place to visit when visiting Copenhagen.
I found this restaurant in the locality where I was staying, and the greeting for a solo diner was warm and welcoming. I ordered the mixed mezes to start and a plate that was heaped with food arrived.... Calamari, Greek feta salad, tzatziki, taramasalata and a stuffed vine leaf. Sadly, the taramasalata was very fake pink and rather tasteless, but the rest was averagely nice, and accompanied by a basket of bread. The lamb in garlic sauce wasn't outstanding, but gets good plaudits for having a great and plentiful selection of vegetables accompanying, and well cooked too. The meal was rounded off with a walnut baklava which was deliciously sweet and syrupy, but slightly overdone on the cloves....... If you are looking for great cuisine, this is not it. If however, you are looking for homely, ordinary cooking and plenty of it, then it comes recommended.
