Kickoff the New Year with Taiko
#2024wish
Embarking on an unforgettable journey, I discovered myself immersed in the vibrant ambiance of Canal City Hakata, Japan. The highlight of this adventure was a mesmerizing Taiko performance by the waterfront. The rhythmic beats, amplified by the night air, held an enchanting allure. Adorned in colorful traditional attire, the drummers executed precise movements, blending ancient rhythms with a contemporary twist.
To appreciate this Taiko artistry, I actively absorbed the dynamic beats, observed the expressive movements, and delved into the rich cultural context. The performance transcended mere auditory delight; it became a visual and emotional experience. As the echoes of the Taiko lingered in my memory, I found myself yearning for a return. In 2024, I wish to immerse myself once more in the captivating rhythms and movements of that unforgettable Canal City Hakata Taiko performance.
The third time I came to Hakata Canal City, the commercial design more than 20 years ago was still wonderful. It is a good explanation of the most precious design combining regional humanities. Unfortunately, the large duty-free shop upstairs is closed. On September 1st, new shops will be ushered in, but unfortunately I missed the summer vacation.
Hakata Canal City is located in the middle of Tenjin and Hakata Station, a comprehensive commercial facility very close to Zhongzhou. Several shopping malls are connected, with many brands and strong accessibility. Uniqlo, MUJI, musu, scenseofplace, HM, ZARA have it. On the way to the shopping, take a break on the bench by the river, look at the quiet river, feel the peace of that moment.
Hakata Canal City is the largest and most successful developer in Fukuoka, Japan. It is only a ten-minute walk from Hakata Station. There is also a water dance performance in the Sun Square on the first floor of the basement, and there is a "Canal City Panoramic Water Dance" with light sculpture technology after nightfall. The visual performance is worth seeing.
Marvelous and great projection showing the story of Gundam. Too bad it closes early at 10PM with most shops closes at 8PM, many popular fashion brands and trendy accessories can be found in Canal City. Tax free for visitors in most shop but visitors have to go to the customer service counter for tax rebate.
Excited water show in the core of the Canal City showing story of Gundam fight. food and beverages, fashion store and medicine store came be found here. However if you are tourist who wish to have tax free on purchases, you have to queue up at another level in thr customer service counter.
