If you have a good visibility, you can see the Tsugaru Peninsula on the opposite bank.

It is located on a hill overlooking the Yoshioka fishing port where Yoshioka Submarine Station was located, and you can also visit it by public transportation if you take a bus up the slope from the national highway bus stop. I visited on a sunny and visible day, so I could see Cape Tatsuhi, Tsugaru Peninsula, and Mt. Iwaki on the opposite bank. There was a little outdoor exhibition of monuments and construction vehicles, and few people visited, so I was able to spend a leisurely time looking at the scenery.

    there's a construction vehicle

Even if it is called a memorial park, it is better to just have a wired car that would have been used for construction and a monument to commemorate the completion of construction, and there are no playsets, so it is better to just call it a square. Since it is on a hill, there are also ships that go back and forth between the Tsugaru Strait ... There is no particular tourist element, and it is better to visit the tunnel memorial hall for tunnel construction.

There are few exhibits, but the scenery is good.

There was a sign with the tunnel Memorial Park, so I went there. There is no such thing as a conspicuous sign, so be careful if you don't look carefully, you will pass by. You can think of the monument and the strait. For exhibitions, you should stop by the Seikan Tunnel Museum. Of course, I can't see the tunnel from here.

If you like Seikan Tunnel, why not visit it?

    Original Text

Except for the monument and the equipment used for construction, it is the same as an ordinary square. If it was sunny, you could see Aomori Prefecture across the Tsugaru Strait, but it was raining on this day. However, I am deeply moved to think that the Seikan Tunnel, which was said to be a difficult construction of the century, passes under my feet.
