In Furano City, Hokkaido, there is a stone monument landmark that marks the center of Hokkaido. Because it is located in the very center of Hokkaido, it is also called the Hokkaido navel. The festival is held in the shopping street in front of JR Furano Station in late July every year. The main activity of the festival is belly button dancing, where dancers draw belly faces on their belly and dance in a parade. Many types of illustrations are very unique, especially the fat belly face of the meat ball swaying up and down with the dance, the expression is rich, and it brings countless laughter to the venue. A two-day belly button dance parade is held every year from 7 to 8 pm.
I brought my kids here to take pictures. When I went there seemed to be still in school, and there were not many tourists. My son was very excited. He felt like he was going to other schools to visit and play. He was always tired when we were in other attractions. It's not the same at all.
It’s quiet here, I guess it’s better in winter
It's just a stone sculpture, where you must go when you check in.
