Shanghang Road and Xiahang Road in Taijiang and its nearby neighborhoods are commonly known as “Shuanghang”. It refers to two parallel horizontal streets from Xiaoqiaotou to Damiao Road. Although Shanghang Street is slightly worn out compared with other places in Fuzhou, the people living here are so comfortable, I don’t feel that this is an old street surrounded by noisy cities around as if they still live in their own circles.
