History has always witnessed the changes of geography ruthlessly. If it hadn't done some homework before coming, I would not have known that a small village far away from the county-level Gaozhou City was actually the seat of Gaoliang County, the former county of Gaoliang County, known as the number one in western Guangdong. Nowadays, apart from the restored West City Gate, there are not too many traces. There are some ruins and ditches beside the village, which are said to be the remains of the old city wall and moat. In the center of the village, there is a large temple, known as the first Xiantai Temple in China, which shows that it was once very glorious.
