La Maison Picassiette is so exotic ~ from the chapel, the courtyard to the garden, every corner is covered with mosaics! The owner spent 30 years building it! Super childlike~
I have seen many mosaic murals while traveling in Turkey, and I have also admired the exquisiteness of those murals, but when you walk into the mosaic museum, you will still be shocked. It used to be a market location during the Byzantine period. During an engineering construction, it was discovered that the surface of the Byzantine period was buried in the ground with a mosaic pavement, and a protective museum was built on the original site. In The Mosaic Museum (The Mosaic Museum), there are beautiful mosaic relics that were originally paved in the Byzantine palace from the 5th to 6th centuries. These murals are made of mosaics with a size of only 1cm square. When you see these huge mosaics with vivid shapes and perfect composition, the colors are still vivid, and you have to admire the exquisite splicing craftsmanship and the high level of mosaic firing.
