Not open to the public
I think the signs to this castle should be either taken down or at least people should be informed that it is no longer open to the public. Even the pages on the internet don't inform you.
Made a special trip to the castle because my husband's family (Sibbald) built the castle in 1246.
Our private tour operator tried emailing them to get us a look see inside the castle but no response. Too bad. Gate keeper cottage resident said that the castle had been closed for over a year tho t...
This gem was closed.
We were looking forward to our visit to Balgonie Castle, but upon arrival, we found out that it was closed. Beautiful from the outside, though, with a Texas flag flying along with the Scottish flag. ...
