Geermu River

The Golmud River is located in the southern Qaidam Basin, Qinghai Province, China. The upper source is divided into two branches: the left branch Naijin River (Naizigle River), the glacier of Bokarektak Mountain, which originated in the Kunlun Mountains. The Golmud River (Shurgan River) is the main source of the Golmud River. The right branch Xiugou Gol River (Shurgan River) originated in Tanggeura Mountain. The two rivers converged below Nachitai and were called the Golmud River, which was injected into Lake Darbson by the northern branch of the Golmud City.

The Golmud River originated from the north of Kunlun Mountain, divided into two east and west. The west branch is called the Kunlun River; the east branch is called the Shuergan River, which is the main source of the Golmud River. Qushui River originates from the Bokarektag Mountain and Gangyuer Charuma Mountain in the Kunlun Mountains. It flows north from the Kunlun River, and the exit flows through Golmud City, and is injected into Dongdabuxi Lake. It is a river that is replenished by snow-capped mountains and spring water and rain. There is a "one step sky" on the river, which is also called "first-line sky". This is difficult to experience when passing the Qinghai-Tibet Highway from above. You must go down to the bottom of the river bank to see a deep valley of 40 meters deep cut by the river. The river bottom is fast, the two sides are relatively close, and the narrow place is only one step away. The legend is that the piety of people who test the practice of Kunlun Mountain. The unfaithful will fall into the valley, only one heart to the good can step up to heaven.

Golmud River is one of the largest inland rivers in the Qaidam Basin, flowing through Golmud City and Dulan County, and divided into two East and West branches above the Golmud General Field Cement Factory. It feels like a water source in the desert, because it is really rare to see here.
