此公园是介绍青藏公路的开拓慕生忠将军的,也介绍格尔木这个城市的由来,有很好的教育意义。让一个外地人知道没有青藏公路也就没有格尔木这个城市。enlingwing

This park in the northwestern suburbs of Golmud City takes its name from the city's founder, General Mu Shengzhong. There is a small and quaint two-story building in the park. Legend has it that this is the first building that stands within a thousand miles above the Gobi Desert. It has created a new era in the history of Golmud. Just after the Spring Festival in 1954, General Mu Shengzhong led his transportation team to the Golmud River after a five-day trek. It is full of the magic of nature, but there are no streets, trees or houses. The general and his troops set up camp here and built nests in the wasteland. In 1956, the residents began to make bricks and bricks to build houses, and the General Building was built. Since then, Golmud has bid farewell to the ancient wilderness, and has a great cause that changes the world. From the vast Gobi desert, from a few tents, to Golmud, the second city in Qinghai, with "half city green trees and half city towers" today, the mirage on the Gobi Desert has finally become a reality. There is also a bungalow built at the same time next to the General Building, which is the annex building (commonly known as the aircraft building), where General Mu Shengzhong lived and lived. Visitors are free to wander outside the building, but all rooms are closed to the public.
