Photos of Albayzín

The Albayzin District is an older Islamic neighborhood in the old city of Granada. After the completion of the Alhambra Palace, it has become a residential area where many people live together. Due to geographical conditions and the constraints of Granada's architectural planning , so that the landscape of this neighborhood from the Middle Ages can be preserved. The Sacramento area, north of the Albayzin District, was once a settlement for the Gypsies, who settled their homes in "caverns" carved out of the hillside, and now these caves are used to hold flamenco dance parties .
