During the Middle Ages, it used to be an important trading center and later became the city center of Graz. The square was rebuilt in 2002 to become a place for public gatherings and tourists. When night falls, moving music accompanied by soft lights floats around the square, and there are couples sitting beside the beautiful fountain. How can the romantic and warm atmosphere not be intoxicating. Walk to Sporgasse on the corner opposite the central square. It is an orange-red house called Luegghaus. The entire wall of the house is covered with patterned reliefs made of stucco. Gorgeous and intricate carvings are on display. This 16th-century building is the oldest pharmacy in Graz.
