What people are saying:

Perfect park along the water to relax. Plenty of benches and grass available for lounging, and a wide path is paved for biking (go rent one!), jogging, or casual strolls.

    Enjoyed the beautiful Park

Took in a visit to Vanier Park, we were there to visit the Bard on the Beach and went on a quick walk around the water ledge. This park has so many sights and a beautiful place to watch the sunset.

Additional Information

Introduction

Vanier Park was once a Royal Canadian Air Force base. The base was turned into a park and opened to the public in 1967. This is the largest park in the area. A visitor can attend any one of the many festivals held there, including Bard on the Beach and the International Children's festival. If your visit does not coincide with any festival, you can explore the museums on the property. These museums include the Vancouver Maritime Museum and the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.
