Take the bus with the locals instead of a taxi because it's better. Worth every minute and cheaper. The road is beautiful and the waterfall at the end is beautiful. A short tour to see the waterfall and don't forget to bring lunch as there is nothing in Lavina village. Absolutely loved it.
We had several options: a) walking to and from a very nice covered waterfall b) taking a boat to a very hidden waterfall with only water available and then walking back c) canoeing and then walking back. We chose option b. We spent about 4 hours ( we were both in our 30's). It was a great experience and we, along with our guide and driver, and this massive double waterfall, made the experience. You need to swim into a lagoon where you can enjoy the crystal clear waters and loneliness on your own. The walk back was amazing. The coastline was beautiful, the beaches were beautiful and there were no traces of civilization. The most amazing thing: The beach walk is the school walks that kids take every day so you'll meet a lot of kids screaming and yelling and giving you high five!
It's only five kilometers, it's a bit unpleasant, the scenery is very good~
