Qianfo Cliff is the largest group of grottoes in Sichuan. It is located on the cliff face of the Sichuan-Shanxi Highway along the east bank of the Jialing River in the north of Guangyuan City. It was first chiseled in the Northern and Southern Dynasties, and has been carved and many inscriptions after the Sui, Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. In 1935, more than half of the cave niches were destroyed when the Sichuan-Shaanxi kilometers were repaired, and now there are only more than 400 remaining. I have been to the caves in Luoyang and the caves in Datong. Those are all in the north. This place belongs to the southwest border, and it is still small and exquisite, with a rolling river in front of it, like the exquisiteness of the Leshan Giant Buddha.
if you are in Guangyuan and you want a place where is peaceful just visit this cliff. nice view and a lovely place.
