"We had an incredible stay at the Lijiang Bo Yin Hotel. The room aesthetic and level of cleanliness were impeccable. Very comfy beds and great amenities. I especially enjoyed the additional elevated section and the end of the room that has a couch and tea set. Very quiet and serene surrounding area. The breakfast was delicious as well. We ordered the western set which came with American and English inspired food. The hash browns were a 10/10. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting for a trip to Guilin. 🥰 "

" "I highly recommend the Shangri La hotel Guilin in terms of service, cleanliness, and facilities. We had a wonderful experience during our 9-day stay in December which included being there for Christmas Day. The hotel had decorations up everywhere and the public areas played Christmas songs. As a Westerner who enjoys celebrating Christmas, this was wonderful and helped make the festive season feel more familiar. The room was spacious and clean. The decor, simple but elegant. The bathroom had a bath and shower and was very clean. We were on the 7th floor facing the river. December is not 'in season for hotels in China and some of the hotel facilities were closed especially during the weekdays e.g the kids club and game room. Even though this was the case, the hotel gladly opened the game room for our daughter each day so that she could enjoy the many gaming consoles and other fun activities they have in this area. As the hotel was not full and there were fewer guests, the breakfast buffet had fewer options than it would normally have during a busier season. This, however, was not a problem, as the staff and kitchen were incredibly accommodating towards us, especially as Westerners. Whatever we wanted to eat that was not available in the buffet was provided for us. The kitchen cooked up pancakes & waffles for our daughter each day and made omelettes and special fried rice dishes for my husband and me. No request was too much effort. We were thoroughly spoilt. In particular, I would like to thank Athena Liu, Food and Beverage Director, and her marvelous team for the exceptional service we received in the restaurants. Their welcoming manner, warm smiles, and efforts to make us feel comfortable were greatly appreciated. We would also like to thank Sophia Lang, duty manager, who also went out of her way to assist us and make sure our every need was met during our stay. " If we find ourselves in Guilin again, we will not hesitate to book in at the Shangri La again."

"Really clean, beautiful hotel. For being inside Guilin I think we made a great choice in hotel, especially because this isn't a chain hotel or anything. The breakfast was just okay from Western perspective, but it was not a problem since I don't eat a massive breakfast anyways. Some eggs yogurt and toast are fine. I wanted some cereal and it took a lot of effort to explain that cereal needs cold milk (all the milk was hot). They just didn't get it, but eventually they did bring me cold milk! Indoor pool (¥50) is beautiful. Sauna good. Gym is exceptional. Bed was super comfortable. Room clean.. Price was great (not sure if this is off-season). Would definitely come again."

"A great choice. Some English spoken at checkin, and the lady who chatted to us each day during breakfast was very polite and helpful. Service was great at breakfast. Limited, but more than enough western and Chinese choices. I think we might have been upgraded to the corner room with view of Elephant Trunk Hill, which was fabulous. Could walk to ETH in 5 mins, and to Sun and Moon Pagodas in 10. Lovely hot water in bath and shower. Nothing to check mols n about at all. Definitely recommended."

"A great hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Most of the staff can speak some English. The hotel also offers a great variety of activities, both at the hotel and around Guilin; namely pool, Chinese calligraphy, making dumplings, city walks and so on. The hotel is situated centrally to many scenic areas, restaurants and other tourist sites. Our room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable.
