About Guyuan: Guyuan is situated at the foot of the north side of Liupan Mountain along a riverside with clear flowing waters. The area features many cultural relics and famous places of historical interest. Some of the main tourist attractions are the Great Wall of the Kingdom of Qin, restored during the reign of King Zhaoxiang of Qin and the ruins of old Guyuan City, which was founded during the Han dynasty. The Mount Sumeru Grottoes are also a popular tourist attraction. The grottoes were built during the Northern Wei dynasty and flourished during the Tang dynasty. The Liupan Mountain Nature Reserve contains cultural attractions such as the Summer Palace built by Kublai Khan, the Yuan dynasty’s founding Emperor, and natural attractions such as Laolong Lake, Liangdian Gorge, and Hehua Garden.
