It's in the Hamasaki district.
Original Text
It is not an atmosphere of several townhouses in the Hamasaki area, but a Japanese house. The garden is better maintained and has a healing atmosphere than the house. The Hamasaki area is a perfect place for a walk with few people. You can find it when you walk.
It is one of the historic buildings in the Hamasaki district. It's hard to understand because it's in the back of a residential area, but if you go to this area, you can stop by.

It is a merchant's house in the Hamasaki district, one of the important traditional buildings preservation districts in Hagi. It's not a big building, but I learned a lot about the fact that I made a fortune in the business of Kitamaebune.
It has been open only on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays (9 ~ 17:00) since March 2018. Since it is a residence (retired house) surrounded by a garden instead of a Machiya-zukuri style, I could only see the entrance from the outside.
The residence of a merchant who once made a fortune in the trade of kitamae fune in Hamasaki, a merchant town. The buildings that remain today are small, but the front yard centered on the artificial mountain has a slightly surprising beauty and feels a scale. I didn't have the image that Kitamaebune benefited from Hagi, but I learned a little.
