Yue Lao Temple (matchmaker, the god who unites persons in marriage) is located in the Xizha scenic area of the ancient town of Wuzheng and is in the northwest corner of Longxingtian. The temple is not big, and Yue Lao sits in the middle of the temple. The plaque above is inscribed with four Chinese characters "喜结良缘," meaning "tie the nuptial knot." The inscription is in red, a happy color in Chinese tradition. Outside the temple, there are trees whose branches interlock or join together, covered with red ribbons. Visitors come here to pray for marriage or good fortune, and it is said to be a very effective place for praying.
