What people are saying:

The most famous of the 19 slopes at the foot of Hakodate Mountain is the Hakodate Port, which is called the most beautiful slope in Japan. The end of the slope is Hakodate Port, where ships often dock and many people take pictures from top to bottom. It is often introduced as a scenic spot with a great view of the city from Hakodate Hills. It is also a scenic spot for many movies and TV dramas.

Can give it a miss if you do not have time

Nothing extravagance. Just roll of houses, hotel and cafe. Trees lined on both side of the street. It is picturesque during winter I supposed.

    A picturesque slope

Strangely there are very few cars on the road in Japan. Thus we can take the picture of the slope without vehicles very easily. We walked from Horai Cho station after having lunch at Asari Honten. Alo...

Additional Information

Gossip is a ramp in Hakodate. Because it is directly connected to the sea and has a steep slope, it forms a unique perspective. It can be seen from the slope to the port. The scenery is excellent and it has become a lot of TV dramas. The location of the scene. The Hakodate Palace in Hakodate was located here, hence the name "Gossip". Nowadays, the Hachimangu Shrine has been moved to Kushiro-cho, and the gossip that cannot be removed is still in place. The paved pavement leads straight to the sea and looks like a European and American port city.
