Winter in Hakuba ❄️
Hakuba, home to the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics 😍 Absolute a gem and wonder to visit during winter.
A well-known ski and snowboarding resort with slopes for every level, this place may not be as popular with foreigners as Niseko, but it remains a popular resort for the locals 🏂⛷
A must- go for ski and snow-boarding fans as this place is muchore affordable than Niseko! Hakuba is also fairly accessible with a Shinkansen to Nagano and then a direct bus up the mountain 🥳
Worried about not speaking Japanese? No worries! Many foreigners from Western speaking countries work here and you’ll find more Australians or Americans than locals working the slopes 😉

Top of the mountain without your skis on
Great memories with the gondola after a few days just about skiing.
Being a spectator for skiing feels different but very pleasant .#tripmoments
Punch Japan's Nagano White Horse's largest ski resort - the eight-tailed heel. Occasionally there was heavy fog, and there was still light rain under the mountain. The mountain was about to reach out and saw only five fingers, and there was a big snowflake.
There is no skiing hall in the Japanese snow field, the ski equipment should be rented outside
is the root for the beginners
There are also parent-child parks
More advanced players gangsters
The cable car has to sit for a long time, this is the best time to see the snow scene
Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Hakuba Japan ⛷️ best skiing town in Japan
If you wanna ski or snowboard in Japan, Hakuba is one of the best towns you should stay. It has at least 7 snow resorts and we managed to get our Epic Pass from Vail resorts, so we were able to get accessed to most of the resorts. ⛷️ we went to Hakuba at early Jan 2023, which was the first season that Japan announced to open to foreigner visitors since Covid. The runs there were super groomed, facility was amazing and well designed. I would recommend to ski at least once in Japan for the best experience
In Onsenkyo of Omachi, Hakuba has a ski resort in winter and an Alps climbing route in summer. Inside Onsenkyo you can find TOMAMU Hoshino Resort. Not only picturesque Alps but also rural experience of pit furnace is here for you. The house in the shape of ptarmigan looks very distinctive.

Ski at day, onsen at night. Hakuba is one of the best ski holiday spots in Japan. Japanese Alps - Iwatake, Tsugaike, Happo. Just like a heaven on earth. Perfect for a family ski trip. Stay active and make the most out of it. The village has so many great resturants. So yummy. #merrychristmas

Although I have lived in a sofa, lived in a hotel, and lived in airbnb, I have never been touched like a B&B in Baima Village, Japan. This Japanese white horse Dongshan B&B has a good location and different rooms. The room is equipped with a bathtub. Although the end of March, the village of Baima is still snowy. The boss is Chinese, and Mandarin is not a problem. I recommend everyone to stay at the hotel (Japanese style), not the hotel, the hotel and the hotel are, the room of the hotel is "and style", the hotel room is "foreign style". The Japanese-style room is a tatami room with no beds, no chairs, bedding and a low table. Western-style rooms are similar to hotels in China. Because the homestay is mostly family run, I also call it home. Located in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, Hakuba is the venue for the Olympic skiing in 1998. It is located on the plateau and has a long snow period. It is suitable for those who like hot spring skiing.
