Speaking of Munch, the first thing people think of is Edward Munch. When you come to Oslo, Norway, you must come to the Munch Museum to appreciate Munch's "Scream", which is the most classic representative of Munch's life. The museum collects a large amount of precious materials such as paintings, drawings, letters, notes, photos, etc. from the master artist Edward Munch, so that you can fully understand Munch's life.
Edward Munch is a pioneer of Norwegian expressionist painters, printmakers, and modern expressionist paintings. In order to commemorate Munch, there is the Munch Museum in Oslo. Since its opening, it has exhibited 60 selected works by Edward Munch, including "Scream" and the world's largest collection of Edward Munch Art.
The museum is not big. It will be enough to appreciate it for more than an hour. The bag needs to be registered, and then the security check can be taken inside, but it cannot be recorded. The museum houses the works of Edward Munch, and according to his will, the work is donated to Oslo. In addition to all the masterpieces of Munch, there are paintings, letters, and works of his childhood. In addition to other donations, the museum has a collection of 1,100 paintings and 18,000 prints, and often holds concerts.

Sadly my understanding of Edvard Munch's work is limited to the Scream (which you won't find here), so we welcomed the opportunity to explore more of his work. Needless to say, we couldn't have picked a better place even if the museum is in the process of relocating.
Wonderful museum with Munch's greatest pieces. The physical space of the museum is a bit shabby (which was surprising), but his works are the attraction. I imagine once the new location opens, that point will be moot. Also, when I went (June 2017), The Scream was not on display.
Many people head to Munch Museum to see the famous Scream but the National Gallery houses the painting. Edvard Munch has a unique position among Nordic painters and is considered a pioneer in expressionism. The Munch Museum’s collection consists of paintings, graphical prints, and drawings.
The Munch Museum is home to more than half of Edvard Munch's paintings and most of his print motifs. It is currently displaying Munch's work alongside different artists - I saw a dual exhibition based on a collaboration between two of the world's leading monographic museums; the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and the Munch Museum.
The Munch Museum has one of the four renditions of the famous Scream picture, two of which are paintings. One of the paintings is here. It used to be easier to steal this painting, but I think they clamped down on the security after one was stolen from the National Museum and one was stolen from the Munch Museum.
