Introduction
Architect Emil Victor Langlet sent in his plans in a contest for the building of a Parliament building in Oslo after a vacation to Italy. While his trip made him behind with his submission, the superior design that he put together was enough for him to win the competition and the Parliament Building was built in 1850. Today, the building contains 169 members of the Storting, the Norwegian Parliament, and is the main location for all Norwegian legislative work and debate. Visitors can experience a regular one hour long guided tour of the entire complex in both Norwegian and English.

The Norwegian Parliament is actually the Norwegian Parliament building. Karl Johan Street is actually just a side entrance, the main entrance is a round building facing the square in front. Looking at it from the side, it is just a plain building, always lacking the momentum of the front door.
Awesome place!!! Hope I can visit it some day!
Located on the opposite end of Karl Johans Gate from the Palace, it seems almost too poetic that this building would be governmental. As far as government buildings go, this one is quite pretty and chances are if you're walking around Oslo, you're bound to stroll by it.
Right in the center of Oslo's main square the Parliament Building is a central location for stat happenings and any government protests.
