The food, wine options and service was very good. The restaurant atmosphere could be improved if they would not accept big parties... It was pretty loud and it did not fit with the slow food focus that I thought they had.
Huge ambition with the best available raw material. Sometimes even to ambitious. The fish should always be the star of the dish. Sometimes to many components complicating the taste. But still a top seafood restaurant. The female headwater was both a little bit arrogant and defensive. But I still recommend this restaurant if you want a good seafood experience in Hamburg.
Great restaurant but a 4-7 course menu, and service is quite long, however if you have thy wine the food really is fantastic! I had skate and Guinea fowl both amazing! I would actually have preferred no dessert but the minimum menu I could take was 4! But highly recommended nevertheless!
Jellyfish serves fish as the name suggests. High class kitchen, nothing you'd do every day. The food is phenomenal, so is the service. Friendly staff taking care of you, being discreet at the same time. You can pick your own menu out of a couple of different dishes that are changing on a daily business. Thats a good sign, everything is really fresh. The food is really amazing, almost star level I'd say. Nothing that fills you up though and thats my main issue with the restaurant. Even picking the 5 course menu left me hungry and broke at the same time. I value good quality but in my opinion it's just too expensive. If you are looking for extraordinary seafood in Hamburg and money is no issue, check the place out! ;-) Pre-booking is required since the place is tiny.
The name of the shop looks like seafood, but it is not. Traditional Western food.
