Very interesting museum for designers. Lots of old and interesting advertising, graphic design, and interior design. Another interesting feature is the building architecture. Common in Hamburg, but interesting for a visitor. I could have stayed longer but I think my mom was bored to death.
This is a special museum for lovers of cultural history – specifically photography, handicrafts and design. The permanent exhibition is international – you’ll be treated to pieces from ancient Greece, China and more. Highlights include East Asian ceramics, Jugendstil posters and photography, plus furnishings, fashions and textiles from a range of countries and periods. In addition to the massive permanent collection, the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe also hosts temporary exhibitions so deserves a few hours to properly explore.
This museum of arts is a must for arts lovers, and it's reasonable for a ticket. You'll find it near the Hauptbahnhof, and close to many other attractions in Hamburg. It's perhaps not for everyone as it's a little different and just has fine art and decorative art displayed, for example there's a lot of porcelain on display.
Hamburg Art and Industry Museum-a perfect combination of German culture and design Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg-an enthralling combination of German culture & design
The Museum of Arts and Crafts is also a huge building. There are a lot of fine arts. In this museum, you can see some works in German style and many unique paintings with abstract concepts.
