Datong Fahua Temple is located on the north side of Heyang Street in Datong City. The main buildings along the central axis are the Shanmen, Tianwang Hall, Sanshi Hall, Daxiong Hall, Fahua Tower, and Cangzhen Building. Among them, there are six statues of Buddha in the palace, which are Maitreya Buddha, Vedic Buddha, and Feng Tiao Yu Shun.
Start climbing the North Peak from Lingyin, and then go down the mountain to the northwest at the peak. At the foot of the mountain is Fahua Temple. The temple is built on the mountain, and there is a green pond in front of the temple. There is also a plum grove, early plum blossoms. In mid-January, three or two early plum blossoms.
Fahua Temple is on the edge of the North Peak. For example, it is back-to-back with Lingyin Temple, one facing south and the other facing north. It is also a temple with a long history, but there are much fewer people here than Lingyin Temple.
Fahua Temple is actually very close to Lingyin Temple from the map, but it’s not so close to walk across a hill. Fahua Temple is relatively well-known in Hangzhou, but it is still relatively unpopular for tourists, but It is also a well-known temple in Xixi.
Fahua Temple is located from the north peak to the north, and the famous Lingyin Temple is on the south of the peak. It and Fahua Temple are on the north and south sides of Yifeng. Fahua Temple was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, more than 1700 years ago. It was destroyed and built in 2003. The rebuilt Fahua Temple occupies an area of 100 acres and consists of the mountain gate, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall, Fa Hall, Tibetan Scripture Building, Zu Shi Hall, Bell Tower, Drum Tower, etc. It is an extremely important place for religious activities in western Hangzhou.
