Hangzhou Hugong Temple is located at the Old Longjing under Shifeng Mountain in Xihu District. After Mao Zedong visited it, he once regarded Taoist as an official and benefited the people. At present, there are characters inscribed in copper on the side of Hu Gong Temple, which can be played together with Lao Longjing.
There was originally a Hugong Temple at the foot of the Shifeng Mountain in Longjing West Lake, dedicated to Hu Ze, the minister of the Northern Song Dynasty. Legend has it that during the Northern Song Dynasty, when Hu Ze was the prefect of Hangzhou, there was an insect infestation in the tea hills around Longjing. The "arch worm" came out late in the morning and ate the young leaves of tea trees. Large tracts of tea gardens were eaten only with some dry hard leaves. , Chapeng is withering day by day. Hearing that the insects were infested in Longjing Tea Mountain, Hu Ze personally went to observe the disaster, so as to appease the tea farmers, tell them to sprinkle lime powder on the roots of the tea trees and sprinkle lime water on the tea canopy. Sure enough, within a few days, the worms were all eliminated. Longjing tea farmers commemorate this wise prefect. Just in the foothills of Shifeng Mountain, we raised funds to build a Hugong Temple. On the 13th day of Hu Ze’s birthday on the eighth lunar calendar, tea farmers in Longjing Village and Sixiang will go to Hugong Temple for temple fairs in order to avoid disasters and be blessed. .
