Xiangji Temple was built in the Song Dynasty and has a history of more than 1,000 years. It was formerly known as Xingfu Temple. During the Dazhong Xiangfu period, Song Zhenzong gave the name Xiangji Temple to this day. It is a famous temple in the Hushu area of Hangzhou. It is a distribution center for pilgrims in the mountains of Yin and Tianzhu, and is known as "the first incense in the canal". There are two pagodas in Xiangji Temple, which were built in the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty. Now there is only one pagoda. The pagoda has eight sides and nine floors. There is a Xumi seat under it. It is carved and chiseled with white stone. There is a plaque on the east side with the words "Ciyun" engraved on it. The south gate is half-open. There is a door on the fifth floor, and a god and Buddha come out from the door. The tower's structural technique and relief style are the representative works of the Qing Dynasty and are listed as key cultural relics protection units in Zhejiang Province. In 2009, Xiangji Temple was successfully rebuilt, and it became the only temple in China dedicated to the Great Sage Kinnara King Bodhisattva (Jianzhai Bodhisattva). The newly built Xiangji Temple restored the demolished east tower and renovated the original west tower, maintaining the original appearance of the twin towers.
